It does not get more “one of a kind” than this! I started making these molten rings to fulfill my own need for an organically shaped metal statement piece and I’m obsessed. They are comfortable to wear while still being a force.
The results are always unique as I use the lost wax system of casting to produce them.

Handmade, hammered, sterling silver hoops hang from large oval onyx stones which I have bezel set in fine silver.
They measure 2.5" from top of earwire to bottom of hoop and are surprisingly lightweight and easy to wear.
Each piece is made by hand and slight variations in your pair may exist from the one photographed.
These earrings were a personal breakthrough for me as I love big jewelry, but know that on an average day I need something that isn't going to weigh me down. So, with this minimalist design I was able to incorporate a bold stone into a long hanging earring without pulling my ear lobes!
I was taught to never make chain. Rules are meant to be broken! Especially if you’re feeling like going into production mode as an active meditation.

They’ve ALL walked out wearing metal pieces made with their very own hands. These classes are your introduction to the world of metalsmithing.

…are for people who have already taken a beginner class or have done metalsmithing in the past. If you are one of the latter, I will contact you prior to our lesson so we can discuss your experience!

CUSTOM JEWELRY LESSONS
…are for both beginner and intermediate students who have an idea for a piece that they’d like to make. These lessons are tailored specifically to what you’d like to try whether that’s a technique or a design. Please book a 30 minute Custom Design Consultation to discuss the details of your project. I will be able to evaluate the time and materials necessary for a final cost as well as determine a schedule that works for us both.

Parent + Child Introduction to Metalsmithing - Make Your Own Stacking Rings @ The Arterie 7/26
In this 2 hour group workshop you will produce multiple sterling silver and brass stacking rings to wear home. This specific workshop is for children as young as 8 and their adult companion! During this experience you'll learn about the tools and equipment and then how to size, form, saw, solder, shape, hammer (texturize) and polish sterling silver and brass using tools such as a caliper, jewelers saw, files, multiple hammers, a butane torch and a flex shaft among others. No experience necessary and all tools and materials will be provided. I have taught this class to children as young as eight who have had the extra helping hands of their adult. However, you, the adult, will be making too (if you’d like)!
